Norma always enjoyed dancing and, later in life, she loved taking cruises and traveling the world with a group of friends and her close companion, Salvatore "Sam" Manzella.

A private service was held at Mark's Mortuary in Wood River on July 5, 2018. Following cremation, her ashes were interred next to her husband at Wanda Cemetery.
