Marvin Allen Vanausdoll, 82, passed away Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Riverside Rehab and Healthcare in Alton.
Born September 7, 1938 in Otterville, he was the son of Allen LaVern and Velma (Hinman) Vanausdoll.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he was employed as a Property Administrator for McDonnell-Douglas Aircraft in St. Louis before retiring in 1998.
Marvin was a Godly man, with an excellent sense of humor; was an excellent cook and enjoyed doing it; and was a JUDO instructor.
He married Loretta Grover and she survives.
Surviving also are a daughter, Staci Gusewelle of Alton; granddaughter, Carli Brown and her husband, Allen Skaggs; great grandson, Rowan Skaggs; and sister, Vivian Helmantoler of Concord, CA.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Anthony Vanausdoll.
Graveside services and burial will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, December 23 at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto, with military honors presented by Alton VFW Post 1308.
