It is with great sadness that the family of Marilou Ruth Davis announces that Heaven gained another angel on April 15, 2018.
She was born on April 23, 1931 the daughter of Clyde and R. Helen (Graham) Searcy. In 1935, she was given a brother, Fred l. "Pork" Searcy.
At a young age, she was preceded in death by her father, then later her mother then step-father, Charles E. Keenan.
She had worked many years at Chairney's Ceramic Studio with her aunts, Wylma Chairney and Freda Dwiggins. She later drove a bus for William BeDell ARC. She loved the St. Louis Cardinals, cheating in poker by making up her own rules, fishing, but mostly, being with her family.
Helen married Roy A. Davis in 1950 in Wood River. They had 25 years of marriage before his death in 1975.
They had five children together, Dennis (JoEllen) Davis and their children, Benjamin Davis and Andrea Davis; Cheryl (Mike) Staicoff and their children, Jody (Julie) Collman, Christopher (Stacey) Collman, Daniel Joshua (Katie) Collman, Nicole Peters; Susan (Brad) Hargrave and their children, Samantha (Jim) Dietzel, Nicholas (Ashley) Tripp, Matthew (Stephanie) Tripp, Jason Hargrave, Adam (Danielle) Hargrave; Jude (Jeff) Grant and their children, Natalie Masulla (Grant), Madie (Roy) Hamrick; Dave (Amy) Davis and their children, Grace Davis, Dustin Tarrant and Holly Vaughn; her "unofficial" daughter, Michelle Jacobs and her son, Jacob Costello; 17 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews
A granddaughter, Katrina S. Masulla preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m., Thursday, April 19 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Pastor Terry McKenzie will officiate.
Cremation will be accorded following the service.
