Born September 13, 1945 in St. Louis, he was the son of Vincent B. and Stella (Schodroski) Gallacci.

A U.S. Navy veteran, he was a letter carrier for the U.S. Postal Service for 20 years before retiring in 1992.

On December 8, 1994 in Muskegon, Michigan, he married Lorraine A. Yonkers (Zeldenrust). She survives.

In addition to his wife, Lorraine, he is survived by his son, Christopher (Sue) Gallacci; brothers, Paul (Karen) Gallacci, James (Angie) Gallacci; sister, Barbara Trejo (Gallacci); and loved ones Karen, Tony Chrum as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; paternal grandparents, Elpidio and Fravolina (Orsi) Gallacci; maternal grandparents, John and Mary Schodroski; and brother, Harry "Ray" Williams.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Visitation will be held between 11 am and 1 pm, Friday, November 27 at Holy Angels Parish Church in Wood River.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
