Jesse Linville, 95, passed away March 26, 2018 at the Missouri Veterans Home in St. Louis County.

Born in Stoddard County, MO on November 24, 1922, he was the son of LeLand M. and Gracie Cora (Deck) Linville.

A WWII Marine Corps veteran, he had worked as a Printer for Orchard Paper Co. and in maintenance for Norfolk and Western Rail Road before retiring. Jesse was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 1308 in Alton.

He was married to Melba Newcomer in 1963.  She survives.

Surviving also are a son, Randell J. (Linda) Linville; daughters, Cheryl Mayfield and Nancy Reid; eight grandchildren; several great grandchildren;a brother Amos Linville; and sister, Novella Newcomer.

His parents; two brothers, Robert and Clyde Linville; and three sisters, Iness Croy, Mertie Cates and his twin, Bessie Roper preceded him in death.

Private Graveside services and burial were conducted at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Roxana Church of the Nazarene, where he had been a longtime member.
