Jeffrey Ray Masterson, 43, passed away 8:40 p.m. Friday in the emergency room at Jersey Community Hospital.
Born in Alton on December 13, 1974, he was the son of William Ray "Bill" and Rita Marie (Butler) Masterson.
He was employed as a painter for DAVCO Painting in Wood River.
He was an avid deer and coyote hunter.
Jeff is survived by his longtime companion, Deborah Wallace of Shipman; Wendy Wallace of Shipman, whom he raised like a daughter; brother, Scott (Tracy) Masterson of Granite City; half brothers and sisters, Richard Morgan of Bethalto, David Tallman of Wood River, Corey (Veronica) Masterson in Arizona, Ashley Morgan of Alton, Bobbie Rhoades of Jerseyville, Crystal Masterson of Cottage Hills; in laws, Charles Flowers of Alton, Dawn Flowers of Alton, Diana Flowers of East Alton; several nieces nephews, great nieces and nephews including a special great nephew, Jaden Mikel Flowers; and many dear friends.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of Marks Mortuary to help with expenses.
