Herman Leroy Talley, 76, passed away 5:25 a.m., Friday, October 27, 2017 at his residence.
Born on May 18, 1941 in Gipsy, MO, he was the son of Benjamin Harrison and Stella Edith (Deckard) Talley.
He had been a custodian for Rend Lake College for many years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and sporting events.
His wife, Cheryl (McMillian) Talley preceded him in death.
Surviving are two brothers, Glendale Talley of Collinsville, Dean Talley of Creve Coeur, MO; two sisters, Marie Carter of Collinsville, Lena Speer of Farmington, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents; wife; four brothers, Manford, Willard, August and Doyle Talley; and a sister, Mildred Buehler preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, October 30 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Terry McKenzie will officiate.
Cremation will follow the service with interment to follow, next to his wife, in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey at a later date.
Memorials my be given to the Crohn's Disease and Colitis Foundation.
Burial will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or masses.
