Helen L. Borrenpohl, 81, passed away 1:40 p, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 in Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born on February 26, 1937 in Butler, IL, she was the daughter of Tornie and Nellie (Cranfill) Manley.
Helem had worked in the selecting division of Owens-IL Glass for 30 years and then joined the Olin Corporation for an additional 20 years before retiring.
She married Ervin Borrenpohl in Alton, who preceded her in death in 1998.
Surviving are two sons, Charles Campbell of Omaha, NE, Roger Campbell of Somonack, IL; daughter, Charlotte Simpson of Godfrey; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; a great-great grandchil; two brothers, Lynn Manley of Alton, Harold Manley of winthrop Harbor, IL; and a sister, Hilda Fry.
Her parents; husband; two brothers and four sisters preceded in death.
Visitation will be from 9 am until time of service at 11 am, Friday, November 16 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Rev. Mark Scandrett will officiate.
Burial will follow in Upper Alton Cemetery.
