Hazel V. Redmon, 88, passed away 6 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at OSF St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.

Born in Oragne Co., TN, on August 21, 1929, she was the daughter of William A. and Mary Ellen (Butler) Woodham.

A self employed beautician, she operated Hazel's Beauty Shop in Cottage Hills before retiring.She enjoyed spending time in her gardens.

On February 12, 1946 in Corning, Ark., she married James H. Redmon.  He survives.

Surviving also are a son, Bob (Cheri) Redmon of Cottage Hills; daughters, Linda (Earl) Twente of Bunker Hill, Barbara (David) Howard of Cottage Hills; seven grandchildren, Jeff Creekmore (Brenda Ross), Melissa (Matt) Batchelor, Sara (Aaron) Hutson, Derek (Ann) Twente, Stephanie Redmon, Jamie Redmon (Ed McAfoose), Bobby (Danielle) Redmon; 11 great grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Davis of Poplar Bluff, MO.

Her parents; five brothers and five sisters preceded in death.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday.  Rev Kenneth Harper will officiate.

Burial will follow in Short Cemetery in Cottage Hills.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or Susan B. Koman Cancer Research.
