Elsa JoAnn Rose, 80, passed away 9:36 pm, Monday, October 24, 2022 at River Crossing in Alton.
Born January 30, 1942 in Batchtown, she was the daughter of Henry L. and Mildred (Barnham) Triplett.
She had worked as a union laborer for Basler Electric in Highland before retiring in 2010. JoAnn served as secretary for the union and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hartford Fire Department for many years.
On January 30, 1960 in Calhoun County, she married Richard W. Rose. He died October 4, 2001.
Surviving are a son, Rick (Tina) Rose of Hartford; daughter, Barbara (Tom) Dale of Wood River; seven grandchildren, Tim (Sheena) Dale, Christina Dale (fiance', Jamie Foster), Brian (Samantha) Dale, Derek (Morgan) Rose, Nick Rose (girlfriend, Rachel Holland), Jessica (Eric) Smith, Heather (Neil) McInnis; seven great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Charles Lorton of Clayton, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons, Garry A. Rose, Duane Rose; grandson, Justin Dale; and sisters, Margaret Pohlman and her husband, Glen, Peggy Lorton, Melba Jean Triplett, Kathy Triplett.
Cremation rites were accorded.
Private burial will be in Wilson Cemetery in Batchtown at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to Hartford Fire Department of a charity of one's choice.
