Dwight Douglas "Doug" DePew, 73, went to be with his parents and son on April 16, 2018, with his family by his side.

Born December 25, 1944 in Alton, the son of Cless and Velma (Hicks) DePew.

Doug was a loving and wonderful husband, father, grandpa, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to all.

He had been a car dealer for 45 years; an avid bowler and sports fan, especially loved watching his sons and grandsons playing all kinds of sports. He truly enjoyed life to its fullest.

On November 16, 1979 in East Alton, he married Cynthia Tyburski.  She survives along with two sons, Jeremy Ryan (Bethany) DePew, Dane Dwight (Nikki) DePew, daughter-in-law, Jennifer Willman; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Gavin, Gage, Tristan, Thomas and Eli DePew; great granddaughter, Kamber; one and only brother in-law and sister-in-law, Wayne and Becky Thien; and his only niece and nephew, Kristen and Wes Thien and families.

He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mther, Mabel DePew; beloved son, Dustin Douglas DePew; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sonny and Catherine Tyburski.

A visitation will be held Monday, May 14 from 9 a.m. until time of a Celebration of Life Memorial Service at 11 a.m. at Marks Mortuary in Wood River.  Pastor George Gude will officiate.

Private interment will follow in Woodland Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease Foundation or American Heart Association.
