Dewel M. Sippel, 92, passed away June 28, 2018 in Springfield.

Born July 14, 1925 in Martinsburg, IL, she was the son of William and Eva (Barton) Bagby.

A 1943 graduate of Pittsfield High School, Dewel had been a General Services Clerk for the federal government for 46 years before retiring in 1992.

She married Charles Bernard Sippel on June 24, 1949 in Wood River. He died June 3, 1962.

Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Sovanski (Curt Baumann) of Brynes Mills, MO; son, Gregory (Mary Ellen) Sippel of Overland Park, KS; grandson, Richard Sovanski of Richmond Heights, MO; step-grandsons, Brandan Baumann of St. Louis, Travis Morris of Lawrence, KS; brother, Donald Bagby of Bethalto; sister, Virginia (Edward) Heeren of Mission Viejo, CA; and remembered by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

A family Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date with interment in Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
