Dale Leo Kessinger, 63, died unexpectedly, Friday, November 17, 2017 at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Born January 16, 1954 in Alton, he was the son of Harold Louie and Betty Lou (Duley) Kessinger.
A U.S. Army veteran, he had been a maintenance supervisor for James Green Management for over 10 years as well as farming most of his life with his father.
When Dale wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, bowling and hunting as well as being a very creative and talented in carpentry.
He is survived by three sons, Harold Louie (Christina) Kessinger of Jerseyville, Tony Paul (Sermin) Kessinger of Cottage Hills, Dakota Kessinger of Missouri; daughter, Cheyenne Kessinger of Missouri; two sisters, Helen D.Bertagnolli of Bethalto, his twin, Gale Lyn Ufert of Wood River; five grandchildren, Nico and Josie Biermann of Cottage Hills, Austin Harvard, Ashland and Addison Ullery of Jerseyville; a special nephew, Colin W. Overmeyer of Benld; as well as many other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents;and two brothers, Billy Gene Kessinger and Gary Lee Kessinger.
Cremation services were accorded.
A Celebration of Life visitation will be held from 3 p.m. until time of service at 5 p.m. Wednesday, November 22 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Father Donald Wolford will officiate.
Interment will be with his father in Hess Cemetery in Pearl, IL.
