Barbara Bohlen, 90, passed away at 4:45 pm on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Edwardsville Nursing and Rehab with daughter, Diane, at her side.
She was born on September 11, 1930 in Columbus, OH, the daughter of John and Kate (Becki) Kovach.
A U.S. Navy veteran, Barbara taught 3rd grade at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Bethalto. She then worked in the trust department at Boatman’s Bank where she retired.
She is survived by her daughters, Sandra (Rich) Little of Running Springs, CA, Linda White of Vero Beach, FL, and Diane Miller of Wood River; nine grandchildren, Jessica Ferreira, Jeremy (Tiffany) Worthen, Jarrod (Emma) White, Jacob (Rebakah) White, Sarah (Lisa) Worthen-Vasquez, Mathew (Stefanie) Worthen, Jason Miller, Katie (Chris) Miller and Molly Foster, 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; her twin sister and three other sisters; and son-in-law, Raymond White.
Private services will be conducted by Marks Mortuary in Wood River, with a burial in Woodland Hill Cemetery will follow.
